The roots of the National Karate Jujitsu Federation
The items displayed in this online library are historical documentation that existed under the National Karate Jiu Jitsu Union and National Karate Jiu Jitsu-International, which was founded in November 1974 by the late Kaicho, (aka Soke) Richard P. Baillargeon (Shodai Kaicho). Upon his passing, the late Hanshi Tola E. Lewis, Jr. was designated as the second or Nidai Kaicho of NKJU/NKJU-I. Prior to Lewis Sensei passing, he named his senior student, Steven E. Johnson, Hanshi, 9th Dan as the third or Sandai Kaicho of NKJU/NKJU-I.
In March 2021, Johnson Sensei Founded the National Karate Jujitsu Federation, USA-International which makes him the first or Shodai Kaicho of NKJF.
